Welcome to House of Matthew Permanent and Supportive Services. We are a needs based community organization assisting individuals and families at risk of homelessness that are ready to commit to the journey of reaching sufficiency.
We're dedicated to providing comprehensive assistance for individuals facing homelessness or living on low income. We understand that transitioning towards self-sufficiency can be challenging, which is why we are here to offer a helping hand. We are a long-term valuable resource to our community providing an abundance of empowering support to assist individuals and families through every phase of their journey. Individuals and families have access to our services, clothing bank, furniture warehouse, and other vital essential needs. At the House of Matthew Permanent and Supportive Services, we believe that stable housing is the foundation for a brighter future. We provide and facilitate access to safe and supportive housing options, tailored to individual needs. Whether it's a temporary shelter, transitional housing, or permanent accommodation, we work tirelessly to ensure that our clients have a roof over their heads, creating a conducive environment for personal growth and development. To break the cycle of poverty, we understand the importance of meaningful employment. Our organization connects individuals with employment opportunities, offering assistance with job search, resume building, interview preparations, and skills training. Our aim is to help people secure stable jobs that provide them with a steady income, enabling them to regain their independence. Education is another crucial aspect of our services. We recognize that lifelong learning can open doors to new opportunities and a higher quality of life. Thus, we provide educational resources and support, including GED programs, vocational training, and assistance with pursuing higher education. Through education, we empower individuals to expand their horizons, acquire new skills, and improve their overall employability. Additionally, we understand that a stable living environment requires more than just housing. That's why our organization also provides essential furniture to individuals and families in need. We believe that a furnished home fosters a sense of dignity and comfort, making it easier for individuals to focus on other areas of their lives. Your Investment to Homeless Prevention, Life-skills and Education
Our homeless prevention and life-skills program, Homeward Bound, allows for individuals facing hardships to adopt sustainable life-skills, discuss barriers, obtain access to housing, receive income and employment assistance, connect with resources, reach independence, and gain support (including advocacy and advisory).
